Step 1: Define Your Objectives
Generate clear insight into how plants respond to biological inputs to resolve key research questions and confidently support your commercial goals.

Step 2: Data Collection
To understand how your biological inputs influence plants, you need data that captures the complexity of plant responses—across cultivars, tissues, environmental conditions, and time.
Analyse your existing omics datasets or generate new data through carefully designed trials. TraitSeq has built substantial expertise and know-how in optimising trial design to capture the breadth of critical variables; knowing the tissues and timings that will produce the most revealing data.
Step 3: The Platform
Our platform leverages machine learning to transform multi-omics datasets —including transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics—to identify molecular signatures that connect plant responses to environmental conditions, inputs and phenotypic outcomes. The analysis is performed in these phases.
Molecular Signature Analysis – TraitSeq’s powerful analytical platform interrogates the vast omics datasets to identify relevant molecular signatures associated with product-, tissue-, time-, crop-, environment- specific plant responses.
Biomarker discovery – Using machine learning we identify unique biomarkers that reliably indicate stress responses or product efficacy across environments.
Pathway Analysis and Mode of Action Synthesis – TraitSeq’s LLMs integrate public and proprietary gene ontology and functional datasets to interpret these signatures and biomarkers, revealing activated biological pathways and visualising relationships to define product mode of action.
Step 4: The Results
TraitSeq delivers a comprehensive characterisation of your product’s Mode of Action through interactive data, biomarkers, dynamic visualisations and a structured report of findings. Molecular signatures and pathway relationships can be explored interactively and can be compared across products to identify product-specific, overlapping, or complementary biological responses, and relative bioactivity.
